Piyush Bakane

Piyush Bakane is an accomplished professional specializing in renewable energy and engineering with extensive experience in project management and technical expertise. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at NV Energy since March 2023, Piyush has successfully negotiated over 1000 MWs of Power Purchase Agreements and provided expertise in calculating Levelized Cost Of Electricity for various utility-scale renewable projects. Prior experience includes a decade at Ormat Technologies, where Piyush managed renewable energy assets across multiple regions and optimized energy production through innovative forecasting models. Piyush also held roles at the Nevada Petroleum and Geothermal Society and conducted research at the University of Nevada Reno, contributing to significant geothermal projects. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Mining and Mineral Engineering and a Master's degree in Geothermal from the University of Nevada, Reno, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from K.J.
