Koen Wijsman

Koen Wijsman is currently a Research Trainee in the Department of Gastroenterology at Mayo Clinic, focusing on pancreatic cancer research under Dr. Michael B. In addition to this role, Koen serves as a member of visitation panels for the NVAO, assessing accreditation for various new and existing healthcare programs. Koen has held the position of Treasurer for the Stichting Professor Chris Gips Fonds, supporting talented medical students in their scientific endeavors abroad. Various leadership roles include Chairman of the Leiden Medical Interns Council, President of the Organising Committee for the Leiden International (Bio)Medical Student Conference, and involvement in multiple committees within the Medical Faculty of Leiden University. Koen's educational background includes a Master of Science in Medicine from Leiden University and previous studies in Health Care Management at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
