Mireille Aarts

Mireille Aarts has extensive experience in educational quality assessment and policy development within the childcare sector. Currently serving as a member of the Panel for New Programs at NVAO since March 2018, Aarts engages in systematic evaluations of educational quality across Dutch higher education institutions. With a long-standing role at KION Kinderopvang since 1995, Aarts has contributed to pedagogical advising, policy formulation, and quality management. Aarts also conducted research on group functioning in childcare at Radboud University Nijmegen and was a member of the National Pedagogues Platform for Childcare, promoting vision development and quality improvement in early childhood centers. Aarts holds a doctoral degree in Developmental Psychology from Katholieke Universiteit Nijmegen, completed in 1986.
