Julie Coons is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various industries. As President and Chief Executive Officer at the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce since September 2018, Julie has driven organizational growth and strategic initiatives. Previously, in roles such as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at the Council of Better Business Bureaus, Julie was responsible for managing national programs, generating significant revenue, and enhancing program offerings. As President and CEO of the Electronic Retailing Association, Julie transformed the organization into a high-performing operation while overseeing various operational processes. Julie's leadership experience also includes serving as Chief Executive Officer of the Tech Council of Maryland, directing operations at PCIA-The Wireless Infrastructure Association, and holding key positions in international business development. Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics and Japanese Language and Literature from the University of the Pacific and has furthered education through the US State Department Foreign Service Institute.
