Jaemin Choi is a Senior Deep Learning Architect at NVIDIA since August 2022, contributing significantly to MLPerf Training benchmarks and optimizing generative AI models, including large language and image generation models. Prior to this role, Jaemin served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from August 2016 to August 2022, where research focused on enhancing GPU task performance. Additional internship experiences include working at Intel Corporation on OpenMPI support for Intel GPUs, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory on GPU-accelerated application optimization, Walt Disney Animation Studios on memory optimization for rendering, and various research positions at Seoul National University. Jaemin completed a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Seoul National University. Military service was fulfilled with the US 8th Army as a KATUSA from April 2011 to January 2013.
