Gerrit Olivier

Gerrit Olivier is an experienced manager in the industrial sector with a strong background in plant and operations management. Currently serving as the Manager of Silo Services at NWK Limited since November 2024, Gerrit previously held the position of Plant Manager at Afrimat from May 2023 to November 2024. Prior roles include General Manager at Samancor Chrome (October 2021 - May 2023) and Manager of Special Projects at Lafarge Cement (July 2010 - September 2013). Gerrit has also been a Plant Manager at both Lafarge Cement South Africa and Xstrata Alloys, where responsibilities included overseeing manufacturing processes in compliance with mining health regulations. Gerrit initiated their career as an engineer at MINTEK from 1992 to 1995. Academic qualifications include a B.Eng in Extractive Metallurgy from the University of Pretoria and an MDP in Financial, HR, and Operations from the University of South Africa.
