Pieter completed their studies in 2002, earning a Red Seal and Journeyman certification. In 2005, they enrolled at The University of British Columbia, majoring in Philosophy. Pieter earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) (Hons) degree in 2007. The following year, they attended the University of Toronto, where they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Philosophy, completing their studies in 2008. Pieter continued their education at Dalhousie University from 2010 to 2011, focusing on Law. Finally, they attended the University of Victoria from 2012 to 2014, where they obtained their Doctor of Law (JD) degree.
