Ynte Hoekstra is an accomplished communication professional with extensive experience in leading strategic communication efforts across various sectors. Currently serving as Head of Communications at NWO (Dutch Research Council) since January 2016, Ynte manages a team of 50 and is responsible for developing comprehensive communication strategies to enhance NWO's public reputation and stakeholder engagement. Previous roles include managing corporate communications at Mediq, serving as a communications manager at DSM for over a decade, and mentoring in crisis communications at SRM Opleidingen. Ynte has also owned a strategic communication consultancy and began a career in journalism. Academic credentials include a degree in Dutch language and literature from Leiden University.
