Loreen Grobbelaar

Loreen Grobbelaar has a range of work experience in the engineering field. Loreen currently works as an Application Engineer at NX Filtration, starting in February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at WEC Projects (Pty) Ltd from 2018 to 2023, holding various positions including Projects & Process Engineer, Process Engineer, and Junior Process Engineer. Loreen also worked at Maskam Water in 2018 as an Internal Sales Agent, where they designed custom water treatment processes and focused on selling water treatment systems. Before that, they served as a Student Tutor at Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 2016, providing assistance to BTech students and first-year students in engineering subjects. Loreen's work experience also includes an Engineering Internship at Umicore from 2014 to 2015, where they collaborated with process engineers and technicians in the process technology/development department.

From 2016 to 2019, Loreen attended Cape Peninsula University of Technology, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Chemical Engineering.

In 2015, they also attended Cape Peninsula University of Technology for their Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.

From 2012 to 2014, Loreen pursued their National Diploma in Chemical Engineering at Cape Peninsula University of Technology.

Prior to their university education, Loreen attended Parel Vallei High School from 2006 to 2010, where they completed their high school education.

In addition to their formal education, Loreen has also obtained additional certifications. In July 2022, they completed the "Project Management Foundations" certification from the University of Cape Town. Loreen also obtained their Master of Engineering: Chemical Engineering certification from Cape Peninsula University of Technology in March 2019, their Degree Baccalaureus Technologiae: Engineering: Chemical certification in December 2015, and their National Diploma in Chemical Engineering in December 2014, all from Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Loreen'smost recent certification is the VCA (SOS / VOL) from Pontifex Certificatie, which they obtained in March 2023.
