Chancievan Thangaratnarajah

Chancievan Thangaratnarajah is a Senior Scientist specializing in Cryo-EM at Nxera Pharma since January 2023, focusing on ligand-bound membrane proteins for structure-based drug design and managing the in-house cryo-EM facility. Previously, Chancievan served as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at the University of Groningen, where the structural characterization of Energy-Coupling Factor transporters was undertaken. Additional experience includes a postdoctoral position at the MRC Mitochondrial Biology Unit, addressing the structural and functional characterization of mitochondrial aspartate-glutamate carriers, and research roles at the University of Oxford and the Structural Genomics Consortium, with early experience as a summer research intern at The Hospital for Sick Children. Chancievan holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Westminster.
