Harmen Draisma

Harmen Draisma is a Senior Scientist in Bioinformatics at Nxera Pharma since January 2021, previously holding the position of Research Fellow in Statistical Multi-Omics Modelling and Analysis at the University of Surrey from April 2019 to January 2021, where responsibilities included leading quality control and statistical analysis in a collaborative study on pulmonary arterial hypertension with Imperial College London. Draisma has also served as a Research Associate at Imperial College London, focusing on omics biomarkers for type 2 diabetes funded by the Wellcome Trust, and as a System Developer at Leiden University Medical Center, where responsibilities encompassed RNA-sequencing data analysis. Additional experience includes lecturing on bioinformatics at Hogeschool Leiden, conducting postdoctoral research at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam on metabolomics and genetics, and working as a scientific research assistant in the Department of Cardiology at Leiden University Medical Center.
