Özlem Akgül

Özlem Akgül is currently a Working Student at NXP Semiconductors since November 2024, with previous experience as a Research Intern at the Technical University of Munich, where frameworks for GAN-based vibrotactile signal compression were developed. Prior roles include a Working Student position at Magna International, focusing on machine learning applications for Lidar object tracking, and an Undergraduate Researcher at Middle East Technical University, investigating the performance of transfer learning algorithms. Additional experience includes an R&D internship at Aselsan, exploring deep learning models for text classification, and earlier research roles at Middle East Technical University. Özlem holds a Master’s degree in Communications Engineering from the Technical University of Munich and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, along with a minor in Computer Science from Middle East Technical University.
