Robert Thompson

Robert Thompson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in ecosystem development and strategic partnerships within the technology sector. Currently serving as Director of the Secure Connected Edge Ecosystem at NXP Semiconductors since June 2022, Robert has previously held roles including Senior Director of Ecosystem and Partnerships at VeriSilicon Holdings Co., Ltd. where efforts focused on building digital IP ecosystems for the machine learning market. Robert's tenure at NXP Semiconductors included managing global partner relationships and driving business development in the consumer and IoT sectors, as well as a pivotal role in the integration of Freescale Semiconductor. Earlier experience at Dell Inc. involved leading a successful desktop display portfolio and establishing embedded systems strategies. Robert holds an MBA from Texas McCombs School of Business and a BSc Hons in Geology from Hull University.
