Vita Herman

Vita Herman has extensive experience in the retail industry, progressing through various roles over the years. Vita currently holds the position of Director of Sales & Merchandising at NYC Alliance since 2020. Prior to that, they worked at New York & Company as a Merchandising Director for Pants, Skirts, Jackets, and Outerwear. Vita also served as a Lead Merchant for the Bottoms department at Ascena Retail Group, Inc. from 2018 to 2019. Before that, they held several roles at Macy's, including Director of Product & Design for Trend Private Brands and Material Girl, Senior Product Manager for Material Girl, and Product Manager for Material Girl and American Rag. Vita's earlier experience includes working as a Brand Manager at dELiA*s and as a Merchandiser at Macy's Merchandising Group. Vita started their career as a Buyer at Alloy Catalog/Delia*s and later served as an Associate Buyer and Assistant Buyer at Macy's East. Vita began their retail career as a Pacesetter at Gap Inc./ Banana Republic.

Vita Herman attended the University of Washington from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Vita'sacademic focus was on law, society, and social policy. Vita also pursued a minor in Speech Communication, completing their studies in that field as well.
