Anne Williams-Isom

Anne Williams-Isom is the Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services at NYC Health + Hospitals. Anne has dedicated their career to education and helping others reach their potential.

Anne began their career as a Basic Skills Lab Instructor at Borough of Manhattan Community College. In this role, they worked with underrepresented, ESL, and learning-disability students, helping them to overcome deficiencies in spelling and grammar skills. Anne also participated in online tutoring, using audio, visual, and chat technology.

Anne then became a Supplemental Instruction Supervisor at Borough of Manhattan Community College. In this role, they oversaw the Supplemental Instruction program and provided strategies for students in the English bridge program.

In August 2016, Anne began working as a First-Year Seminar Instructor and Graduate Coordinator at Guttman Community College CUNY. In this role, they maintained a 70 percent student passing rate average in test preparation for the CUNY Assessment Test in Writing Exam. Anne also facilitated the learning process for underrepresented, ESL, and learning-disability students at the lower and upper remediation level.

Anne’s dedication to education and helping others reach their potential has made their an excellent leader in their current role as Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services at NYC Health + Hospitals.

Anne Williams-Isom received their MSED from Baruch College, City University of New York (CUNY) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration. Anne also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from City University of New York-Hunter College in English Language and Literature, General. Additionally, they have a Writing and Literature degree from Borough of Manhattan Community College in Developmental/Remedial English.
