Carrie Shumway

Carrie Shumway, M.S., CHEP, currently serves as the Associate Director of Emergency Department Operations and Director of Emergency Management at NYC Health + Hospitals since August 2008. Previous roles include Associate Director and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator at Jacobi Medical Center, as well as various leadership positions at Bellevue Hospital, where responsibilities included managing emergency department operations and implementing workflow improvements. Carrie also has experience as a Linkage Coordinator at Mount Sinai Health System, serving high-risk youth, and as a Community Health Educator during Peace Corps service. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Spanish from Fordham University and a Master of Science in Human Services Leadership from St. Joseph's University New York.
