Janine-Marie Rafio

Janine-Marie Rafio, MSW, currently serves as the Associate Director of Community Affairs for NYC Care at NYC Health + Hospitals, a position held since November 2023. Previously, Janine-Marie was the NYC Care Program Manager at the Mayor's Office from September 2019 to November 2023, where responsibilities included managing partnerships and enhancing public awareness of health care access. Janine-Marie's earlier experience as an Elementary School Teacher at Success Academy Charter Schools involved supporting first-grade students in a dynamic learning environment. Prior roles include managing barista teams at various cafes, conducting outreach programs focused on domestic violence at the Korean American Family Service Center, and completing an intensive course on domestic violence. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and East Asian Studies from Macaulay Honors College at The City University of New York, along with additional studies at Ritsumeikan University.
