Jason Hansman

Jason Hansman is a seasoned professional in behavioral health and crisis response, currently serving as Senior Advisor of Behavioral Health Communications and Policy at NYC Health + Hospitals since May 2023. Previously, Jason held several leadership roles at the NYC Office of the Mayor, including Deputy Director for Mental Health Initiatives and Senior Director for Crisis Response with ThriveNYC, managing a combined budget of approximately $120 million across numerous mental health initiatives. Jason's career also includes significant contributions to the City of New York's Department of Homeless Services and the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, where a focus on strategic partnerships and program development was evident. Jason's educational background includes a Master's in Public Administration from New York University and a Bachelor's in Political Science from the University of Washington.
