Josh Marcus has extensive experience as a Co-Founder & CEO in multiple companies. In 2009, during their junior year of college, they launched and led a multinational textbook company called My College Bookstore. The company sourced books from European and Far Eastern suppliers and delivered them directly to consumers in the U.S. market at large discounts. Josh held this role until 2011. In 2011, they co-founded and became the CEO of NYC Sports. Finally, in 2017, they co-founded and became the CEO of Playbook.

Josh Marcus attended NYU Stern School of Business from 2006 to 2011. Josh pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Finance & Statistics, with a concentration in Entrepreneurship.

NYC Sports started as a premier corporate basketball league in New York City. The league has grown considerably since its start in 2011 and continues to so while constantly improving all aspects of operations. NYC Sports provides its members with a unique and competitive experience supported by our determined staff, fantastic customer service and pure joy for the game of basketball. League members are provided with intricate statistics & analytics, shot charts and video content from each game. These tools allow players to monitor their progress throughout a season, improve their game and even scout the competition. NYC Sports has been featured in the New York Times, ESPN & Bleecher Report among others for offering innovative corporate sports programs and youth summer camps and year-round events. In the past year, our youth programs - NYC Basketball Kids have featured some well-known professional athletes including 2x NBA Slam Dunk Champion Zach LaVine, Kristaps Porzingis, Devin Booker, Clyde Frazier, CJ McCollum & many more.
