Berrin Baysa

Associate Scientist at The New York Genome Center

Berrin Baysa is an Associate Scientist at the New York Genome Center since 2014, specializing in Next Generation Sequencing with experience in platforms such as NovaSeq, HiSeq, and MiSeq, and working on Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS), exome sequencing, and COVID-19 projects. Prior to this role, Berrin served as a Senior Researcher at NYU Langone Medical Center from 2005 to 2014, focusing on genomics and Next Generation Sequencing. Additionally, Berrin worked as a Senior Chemist at Roche Diagnostics between 2005 and 2009, where responsibilities included quality control of raw and finished products. Berrin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and has an educational background from Contra Costa College.
