Elizabeth O'Brien is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Vice President and General Counsel at New York Genome Center since February 2016. Prior to this role, Elizabeth held key positions at The Wistar Institute from July 1993 to February 2016, including Vice President of Legal and External Affairs and General Counsel. Elizabeth's career also includes tenure as Associate General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel at The University of Pennsylvania from May 1989 to July 1993. Elizabeth O'Brien earned a Bachelor of Arts in German Language and Literature from Bryn Mawr College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.
