Maria Hauge Pedersen is a Scientific Program Manager and Staff Scientist at the New York Genome Center since October 2022. Prior experience includes serving as Chair for the Danish Diabetes Academy's Post Doc Summit 2022 and Winter School for Post Docs 2021, focusing on early-career investigators and communication with society, respectively. Maria was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Columbia University Irving Medical Center from August 2017 to October 2022, studying G protein-coupled receptors in neuroscience. Maria's academic background includes a joint Post Doc position at Københavns Universitet and Columbia University, with a PhD focused on gut receptors, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Human Biology and Biology from Københavns Universitet.
