Tomas Lackman

Tomas Lackman possesses extensive experience in process safety, risk assessment, and project management across various industries. Beginning with a foundational role as an intern at Atlas Copco USA in 1994, Tomas transitioned to roles at FOI as a Research Engineer and project manager focusing on demilitarization technologies from 1995 to 2002, followed by a tenure as a Process Safety Engineer at AstraZeneca from 2002 to 2007. As a Risk Consultant at ÅF until 2011, Tomas managed assignments in critical sectors such as oil and gas and pharmaceuticals. Since 2011, leadership as a Section Manager at AFRY involved overseeing a team of Process Safety, Risk, and HSE consultants. Currently, as HSSE Manager at Nynas AB, Tomas leads a team responsible for crisis management at Nynäshamns Oil Refinery. Educational qualifications include a Lic Eng in Process Safety from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, complemented by an International Diploma from Imperial College London.
