Rebecca Saunders is an experienced researcher in the field of biotechnology, currently serving as an Associate Researcher and Bioprocessing Technician at Lux Bio (formerly Nyoka) since July 2024. Previously, Rebecca held positions as a Synthetic Biology Associate at Lux Bio from May 2023 to February 2024 and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at The University of British Columbia's Mansfield Lab, focusing on tree molecular biology research during 2022 and early 2024. Prior experience includes undergraduate research at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, where Rebecca worked on Agrobacterium-mediated transformation and RNA isolation of Norway spruce, complemented by customer service experience at Blue Mountain Produce. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biotechnology from The University of British Columbia and a Diploma of Technology in Biotechnology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
