Patricia Nilsen

Patricia Nilsen currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer at NYSEG and RG&E since July 2022. Prior to this role, Nilsen held various positions at AVANGRID from February 2013 to July 2022, including Vice President of Reliability Assurance and Emergency Preparedness, where responsibilities included leading emergency management efforts and ensuring effective response to major weather-related outages. Nilsen also served as Director of Emergency Preparedness and Manager of Outreach and Municipal Relations at AVANGRID. Earlier in Nilsen’s career, from 1997 to 2006, Nilsen was the Manager of Customer Satisfaction and Outreach at NYSEG. Nilsen earned a Master’s degree in Adult Education from Elmira College, a Master’s in English from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Fine Arts from Alfred University.
