Sharon King

Sharon King, MS, MBA, is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in strategic communications, editing, and content management. Currently serving as an Executive Writer at the New York State Insurance Fund since September 2019, Sharon has also operated Sharon R. King Communications since 2000, providing consulting services that include writing and managing various types of content, such as articles and digital materials. Sharon's previous roles include Assistant Director at EY, Communications Consultant for the International Federation of Accountants, and Director of Corporate Communications at FOJP Service Corporation. With a journalism background as a reporter for The New York Times, Sharon holds a BA in Journalism from Norfolk State University, an MBA in Accounting from Columbia Business School, and an MS in Journalism from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
