Victor Bhagat

Victor Bhagat possesses extensive experience in fixed income and structured products, currently serving as Special Investment Officer for Fixed Income at New York State Insurance Fund since May 2022, where responsibilities include sector coverage on ABS, Non-Agency RMBS, and CMBS securities. Previously held the title of Associate Director - Credit Rating Criteria at AM Best, focusing on the development and review of rating criteria for insurance companies and ESG topics. As Managing Director - Head of Structured Products at TIAA, Victor led a team analyzing structured products and initiated investment programs. Other roles include Senior Consultant at UBS, responsible for Independent Pricing Valuation on various asset-backed securities, VP at AllianceBernstein, and Associate at Standard & Poor's. Victor holds an MBA in Finance from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, an MS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University, and a BE in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka.
