Amy Virshup

Amy Virshup is the current editor for Travel at The New York Times. Amy has been with The New York Times since September 2003, serving as Deputy Metro Editor from October 2018 until their current position. Prior to that, they worked as news editor for the Weekend Journal at The Wall Street Journal from January 2001 to September 2003. Amy began their career in journalism at The Village Voice, where they served as executive editor from June 1990 to June 1994. Amy then went on to work as associate editor at New York Magazine from December 1982 to December 1988.
