Crystal Arroyo

Crystal Arroyo is an accomplished editor and digital storytelling expert at The New York Times, where experience spans from July 2004 to the present. Current responsibilities include leading digital tools orientation, training employees, and co-organizing reporting and editing intensives. Previous roles at The New York Times encompassed News Technology Senior Staff Editor, where support was provided for over 60 tools and workflows, and News Technology Specialist, offering technical assistance to newsroom personnel. Crystal also served as Recording Secretary for The NewsGuild of New York, advising members on union rights. Prior experience includes front-end web development positions at Morgan Stanley and A.B. Watley, along with editorial roles at Resident Publications, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Brooklyn College.
