Erin Mershon

Erin Mershon serves as the Deputy Media Editor at The New York Times since April 2024. Prior to this role, Erin held various positions at STAT from June 2017 to May 2024, including Associate Managing Editor, Washington Bureau Chief, Senior News Editor, News Editor, and Washington Correspondent. Erin's earlier experience includes being a Congressional Reporter at CQ - Roll Call, Inc. from May 2016 to June 2017 and a Pro Reporter for POLITICO from October 2013 to May 2016. Additional roles include Reporter at Warren Communications News, Inc., Editorial Fellow at National Journal, and Politics Intern at The Huffington Post. Erin also served as Editor-in-Chief and Design Editor at The Kenyon Collegian while studying Political Science at Kenyon College from 2008 to 2012, following graduation from Cathedral High School in 2008.
