Steven Moity

Steven Moity is an experienced news assistant at the New York Times since February 2019, contributing freelance articles for the Travel desk and conducting interviews and reporting. Steven previously served as a travel reporter, covering diverse topics such as hotels and destination pieces. Alongside journalism, Steven has a background in acting and directing, having written, directed, and produced a short film and a comedy web series, as well as starring in CNN's "Lincoln: Divided We Stand." In earlier roles, Steven worked in various customer service and administrative positions, including at National Debt Relief, LLC and CommonBond.co, where skills in client consultation and database management were developed. Steven holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and Politics from New York University and has international experience from a teaching role at New York University Abu Dhabi and internships in Paris.
