Salvador E. Portugal

Salvador E. Portugal, DO, MBA, currently serves as the Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship Program and Medical Director of Sports Medicine Rehabilitation at NYU Langone Health since 2018. Additionally, since November 2014, Salvador holds the positions of Assistant Professor and Clinical Instructor of Rehabilitation Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. In October 2018, Salvador became the Head Team Physician for St. Joseph's University, an NCAA Division III institution. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Healthcare Administration/Management from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Medicine, Interventional Pain Management, and Sports Medicine from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Pikeville- Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Business Administration from Fordham University.
