Yik Siu

Yik Siu is an experienced bioinformatics programmer currently serving as a Senior Bioinformatics Programmer at NYU Langone Health since August 2019, where Yik leads the full stack software development process for the metabolomics.org website. Prior roles included a Bioinformatics Programmer at NYU Langone Health and a Research Technician, contributing to Global Metabolomics projects and processing large datasets using AWS services. Yik has also worked as a PhD Graduate Research Associate at Columbia University, focusing on scientific experiments and data analysis related to viral infections, and as a Research Technician at the University of Vermont, developing microfluidic methods and conducting bacterial studies. Yik's academic background includes a Master of Science in Computer Science from NYU Tandon School of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University at Albany.
