Dechen Lama

Dechen Lama is currently serving as a Global Equity Fellow at New York University since August 2024. Previously, Dechen worked as a Communications Intern at CEW from July 2022 to September 2024, focusing on member communication and social media presence. Dechen's experience also includes a Digital Marketing Internship at Oriflame Cosmetics, where contributions to content creation for various social media platforms were made. As a Student Intern at Girls Who Invest and Vice President of Communications for NYU Women's Lacrosse, Dechen led communication strategies and cultivated relationships for promotional initiatives. Additionally, Dechen held the role of Director of Communications for the NYU London Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, fostering important discussions within the university community. Dechen is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs at New York University, expected to graduate in 2025, following education at The Thacher School from 2017 to 2021.
