Shimon Cohen

Shimon Cohen, MSW, LCSW, is the Founder and CEO of Doin' The Work LLC, established in March 2019, focusing on education, training, and consulting for justice-based liberatory practices. Shimon serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at New York University and Columbia School of Social Work, while also holding the position of Board President at EduExito, Inc. With extensive experience in academia, Shimon has also contributed as a Clinical Supervisor at DREAM DEFENDERS and has taught at various institutions, including the University of Kentucky and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Additionally, Shimon is the Founder, Host, and Producer of the "Doin' The Work: Frontline Stories of Social Change" podcast. Shimon holds a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Education focused on Family and Human Services from the University of Oregon.
