Vivian Smeets

Vivian Smeets has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Vivian currently serves as the Director of Marketing - Global at Nyxoah since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Avanos Medical as the EMEA Senior Product Management Interventional Pain & Game Ready® from September 2017 to January 2022. Before that, they held the position of Medical Marketing Manager EMEA - Non-invasive orthopedics at Össur from May 2013 to September 2017. Additionally, they served as the Product Manager Homecare at Linde Healthcare BENELUX - interim at The Linde Group from December 2012 to May 2013. Furthermore, they worked as an International Product Manager at GymnaUniphy NV from January 2008 to December 2012. Prior to that, they gained experience as a Health Scientist/Clinical Researcher at Kempenhaeghe/University Maastricht from 2005 to 2008. Their career began as a physiotherapist at a Private Physiotherapy Practice/Hospital in 2001, where they focused on orthopedics and neuro-rehab.

Vivian Smeets completed a Mastering Digital Marketing program at the London Business School in 2021. In 2011-2012, they pursued Strategic Marketing Management at NCOI Business School, and in 2008-2009, they studied Product Management at the same institution. Before that, from 2002 to 2005, Vivian pursued Health Sciences with a focus on Healthcare Policy, Innovation, and Management at Maastricht University. Vivian obtained their Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy from Zuyd Hogeschool | Zuyd University of Applied Sciences in 2001.
