Rebecca Cottrell

Rebecca Cottrell is the current Principal, Chief Advisory Officer at NZ Funds. Rebecca has over fifteen years of experience in the finance and banking industry. Rebecca has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Bristol and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Rebecca started their career in 2006 as a Sales Finance Analyst at RBS. Rebecca then moved to HSBC in 2011, where they became a Finance Business Partner. In 2012, they moved to RBS again, this time joining the Business Support Team. Rebecca remained with RBS until 2013 when they took maternity leave.

After their first period of maternity leave, Rebecca returned to work for Barclays UK in 2015 as a Business Planning & Analytics. The following year they took another period of maternity leave before returning to Barclays UK in 2017 as Financial Reporting and Consolidation Advisor. Rebecca stayed with Barclays until 2020 when they joined Chorus NZ Limited as Regulatory Compliance & Assurance Advisor.

Rebecca Cottrell has a Bachelor of Commerce & Administration from Victoria University of Wellington and a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from the University of Otago.

Rebecca Cottrell reports to Michael Lang, Chief Executive. Rebecca Cottrell works with Tony Rae - Principal, Head of Finance, Peter Ashworth - Principal, Client Adviser, and Greg Long - Principal, Advisory Services.
