Simon Simmers

Simon Simmers is an experienced professional in the rugby and legal sectors, currently serving as the Manager of Professional Rugby at New Zealand Rugby since July 2016, where responsibilities have included player contracting and relationship management. Prior to this role, Simon held positions at RPC law firm as a Contractor specializing in commercial disputes and liability, and as Legal Counsel at Rugby Travel & Hospitality Ltd, overseeing official ticket and travel packages for Rugby World Cup 2015. Earlier career milestones include serving as a Player Services Advisor at New Zealand Rugby and as a Crown Prosecutor at Gordon and Pilditch. Simon holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Management from the University of Otago.
