Howard Cattermole

Howard Cattermole has extensive experience in financial leadership and analysis across various sectors. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at NZ Transport Agency since June 2017, Cattermole previously held positions at the Ministry of Education of New Zealand as Group Manager Asset Management and Finance and at Transpower as Chief Financial Officer, overseeing finance, treasury, and regulatory affairs. Cattermole's early career includes roles at Robert Fleming Securities Ltd and HSBC James Capel Securities Ltd, focusing on equity research in the oil and gas sector. A foundation in engineering was established at Royal Dutch/Shell Group, where Cattermole performed technical and economic analysis. Cattermole holds an M.B.A. in Accounting and Finance from London Business School and a B.A. in Mathematics from The Open University.
