Chris Upchurch is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in transportation planning and river guidance. Currently serving as a River Guide at OARS Companies, Inc. and a Research Scientist at Carbon Solutions LLC, Chris has previously worked as a River Guide for Rogue Rafting Co. and as a Technical Project Manager at Mid-America Regional Council. Notably, Chris held significant roles at the WICHITA AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION (WAMPO) as a Principal Planner and Senior Planner, where leadership in developing the Metropolitan Transportation Plan and performance-based planning programs was demonstrated. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Geography from the University of Utah, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Geography from Arizona State University. Chris has contributed to research in transit planning and has presented at national conferences on performance management data.
