Shane S.

Shane S. has extensive work experience in the field of network engineering. Shane started their career in 1990 as a Store Manager at Checker Auto Parts and gained experience in HR, training, sales, and inventory management. However, their interest shifted towards networks when they helped install new POS systems. In 1998, they worked as a Field Sales Representative at Sterling Electronics, where they also studied for their CCNA and MCSE 4.0 certifications. Unfortunately, they were laid off before the company was bought out. From 1999 to 2005, Shane worked at Convergys - Nortel Networks as a Technical Support Representative, excelling to become an escalation engineer and trainer for the European support team, specializing in Nortel Networks router platforms and Alteon load balancers. In 2005, they joined ViaWest as a Network Engineer, where they worked until 2017. Shane currently holds the position of Principal Network Engineer at O.C. Tanner, which they started in December 2021.

Shane S. obtained an Associate's Degree in Network and System Administration/Administrator from Certified Careers Institute between 1998 and 1999.
