Giuliana Rossi

Giuliana Rossi has a strong background in research and has worked for multiple organizations in the field of geophysics. Giuliana started their career at the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia in 1994, where they held a grant in geodesy and seismotectonics. In 1995, they moved to OGS and began their tenure as a Researcher, a position they held until 2008. During their time at OGS, they gradually progressed to the role of Senior Researcher and later became a Member of the Scientific Board and Coordinator. Currently, Giuliana Rossi holds the position of Research Director at OGS, a role they assumed in January 2022.

Giuliana Rossi completed their education at the Università degli Studi di Trieste. From 1982 to 1988, they pursued a Master's degree in Geology/Earth Science, General. After that, they enrolled in the same institution to pursue a PhD in Geophysics and Seismology, which they successfully completed from 1990 to 1993.
