Julie Baron

Julie Baron is a highly qualified geophysicist with extensive experience in seismic research and management. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale since February 2018, Julie has previously held significant roles, including managing the COST Action ES1401 TIDES at INGV from June 2015 to May 2017 and conducting postdoctoral research focused on seismic shakemaps and waveform tomographic inversion at INGV from 2010 to 2015. Julie holds a PhD in Geophysics from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna and has completed engineering studies in geophysics at EOST - Strasbourg, as well as foundational education in mathematics and sciences. Additionally, Julie has undertaken internships at Schlumberger and BRGM, focusing on earthquake location methods and early warning systems, respectively.
