Geert De Rycke

Geert De Rycke has extensive work experience in various positions and organizations.

Geert started their career as an Assistent at Ghent University in 2000, where they worked until 2002. Simultaneously, they worked as a Scientific Researcher at Vlerick Business School from 2000 to 2002.

In 2009, Geert joined Agentschap Wegen en Verkeer as a Business Unit Manager, reporting directly to the CEO. Geert remained in this role until December 2022.

From 2021 to 2022, Geert worked as the CFO for o2o | Bicycle Leasing. In this role, they upgraded the company's financial reporting and provided financial and economic advice. Additionally, they developed the long-term strategic and annual operating budget process.

Currently, Geert is the CEO of o2o | Bicycle Leasing, a position they have held since January 2023. In this role, they are focused on making bicycle leasing accessible to Belgian companies and promoting sustainable mobility options.

In 1995, they obtained a Master of Science in engineering sciences with great distinction from Ghent University, specializing in mechanical-electrical engineering. In 2004, they completed a safety coordinator course at KAHO Sint-Lieven, earning a Level A certification. In 2014, they attained a Sommelier Conseil degree from SYNTRA Midden-Vlaanderen - Université de vin de Suze La Rousse.
