Virginia Ruan

Virginia Ruan has extensive experience in communications, currently serving as the Head of Communications at Oak Foundation since April 2011, where responsibilities include leading and implementing strategic communications initiatives. Prior experience includes roles as Project Communications Manager at Chemonics International and Communications Consultant at The Advocacy Project, as well as a Community and Youth Development/TEFL Volunteer with the Peace Corps. Virginia's career began with a position as Program Associate at the Benton Institute for Broadband & Society, followed by a Youth Development Volunteer role with AmeriCorps. Virginia holds a Master of Arts in Communication, Culture, and Technology from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from The George Washington University.
