John Monsky

John R. Monsky is a Partner and General Counsel of Oak Hill Capital and has been part of the firm since 1993. Mr. Monsky has senior responsibility for the structuring and legal aspects of the firm’s acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to joining Oak Hill, he was a mergers and acquisitions attorney at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. Prior to that, he was Assistant Counsel to the United States Senate Select Committee investigating the Iran-Contra Affair and a law clerk to the Hon. Thomas P. Griesa, Federal Judge, Southern District of New York. Mr. Monsky earned a B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Yale University and a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School.
