Tom Amidon has held various roles throughout their work experience. Tom began their career as a Special Operations Sergeant in the US Army from October 1982 to July 1990. Tom then worked as a Military Intelligence Officer in the US Army from May 1992 to September 2004. In 2007, they joined ORAU and the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education as the Director of Safeguards and Security, a role they continue to hold.
Tom Amidon attended Campbell University from 1990 to 1992, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Affairs.
