Guodong Liu

Guodong Liu is an R&D Staff member at Oak Ridge National Laboratory since May 2014, working on projects such as the ORNL Microgrid Controller, Microgrid Planning Tool, and Advanced Distribution Management System. Prior experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at both Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the University of Tennessee, focusing on microgrid energy management systems and optimization of distribution systems. Earlier positions as a Research Assistant at the University of Tennessee and Huazhong University of Science and Technology involved significant contributions to projects related to high wind power penetration, unit commitment, and cascading failure analysis. Guodong Liu holds a Ph.D. in Power System from the University of Tennessee, an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Shandong University.
