Mina Sartipi

Joint Faculty Position at Oak Ridge National Laboratory

Mina Sartipi is a highly accomplished academic and researcher currently holding joint faculty positions at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the University of Tennessee-Oak Ridge Innovation Institute since January 2023. As the founding director of the Center for Urban Informatics and Progress since July 2018, Mina Sartipi has significantly contributed to the field of urban science. Additionally, roles at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga include Guerry Professor, UC Foundation Professor, Program Leader for Urban Science & Technology, and various professorships in Computer Science since August 2006. Mina Sartipi also serves as faculty at the Bredesen Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Graduate Education and recently completed a board advisory role at GridMatrix. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
