Carlos Velez

Carlos Velez, CPCE, serves as the General Manager of Food & Beverage at BLOOM at Jungle Island since June 2022. With extensive experience in culinary and event management, Carlos has held various prominent roles, including Executive Production Chef overseeing multiple production kitchens at REEF from November 2021 to May 2022, and Director of Catering and Conference Services at Shelborne South Beach from 2017 to 2020. Additional experience includes managing social catering sales at The Palms Hotel & Spa and directing events at Rangoli Wedding Design & Events. Carlos's career also includes significant positions in catering and culinary operations at Hilton, Taste Catering, Inc., and Aramark Healthcare. Carlos possesses a Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts and a diploma in General Studies from Naples American High School in Italy.
